On the morning of November 5, 2022, Professor Wang Lu, doctoral supervisor of Textile School of Donghua University, director of Key Laboratory of Textile and Fabric Technology of Ministry of Education, and Director of Textile Biomedical Materials Science and Technology Innovation and Introduction Base of Ministry of Education, was invited by School of Textile and Apparel of Donghua University to conduct an online seminar entitled "For People's Life and Health, "Development and Innovation of biomedical textiles" as the theme of academic lecture. The undergraduate freshmen, graduate freshmen and some young teachers of textile Engineering Department listened to the lecture.
Professor Wang Lu has drawn the importance and urgency of the application of textile materials in the medical industry since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the past three years. Then Professor Wang Lu first introduced the basic situation of textile and biomedical textiles, and introduced the innovative research of biomedical textiles, including textile human body cavity, textile soft tissue mesh, new functional sutures and functional textiles for in vitro use, etc. Finally, Professor Wang introduced the research and innovation projects being carried out by the biomedical materials team of Donghua University and welcomed everyone to visit and study in Donghua University in the future.
In the course of the lecture, Professor Wang communicated with the students with vivid pictures and pictures. He not only sketched out the high-end application scenarios of textile materials in modern medicine from a strategic perspective, but also explained every basic concept and knowledge point in detail, which made the lofty scientific research results no longer obscure, but made every audience listen with interest.
