On April 26, 2023, Zhang Delin, an outstanding graduate of the Master's degree in Art from the School of Textile and Clothing, shared his rich experience in participating in competitions during his three years of graduate studies at Art Building C310. Students from the first, second, and undergraduate studies of the college actively participated in and listened to this sharing meeting. Zhang Delin stated in the sharing that participating in competitions is a very meaningful thing. It can not only exercise one's professional abilities, but also increase one's social experience. While enriching personal experiences, one can also feel the subtle sense of happiness in life.
Firstly, Zhang Delin shared his academic and professional achievements over the past three years, as well as the results of competitions. He actively participates in various competitions and is able to balance his studies and life. On the basis of clarifying the submission order of the competition, practice the submission of the competition according to the different nature of the competition. He shared his experience of teaching in Xinjiang, providing training for hundreds of teachers, and bringing the knowledge he learned to teachers in the border areas. He also helped 300 students achieve their master's dreams. He has been involved in the education industry for 7 years, traveling 8500 kilometers in China, with a total of over a thousand students. He measured the path of teaching with his feet, taught and educated people, and never forgot his original intention.
Finally, Zhang Delin shared some key points for participating in the competition: 1. Such as submitting works within a year, ensuring that their works are the greatest manifestation of their current strength, combined with current popular trends; 2. It must be no published work, the integrity of the contestants is crucial. He also mentioned how to improve and modify his competition works, narrate his own series of stories, and allow viewers to feel the emotions or ideas that the creator wants to express, from aspects such as organizing design ideas, clear design processes, complete design series, deep design thinking, simple design layout, and large-scale shooting.
Overall, participating in competitions is a very meaningful thing, as it can exercise one's abilities, increase one's experience, and attract more opportunities. I hope that through Zhang Delin's sharing, more students can be encouraged to participate in more professional competitions and practice, showcase their professional talents and abilities, add glory to the school, and lay a solid foundation for their career development.
